Governments all over the world are now looking at ways to help reduce the growing number of plastic bottles that are being discarded. There are many other ways in which people can recycle their plastic. Many small grocery stores offer their customers the option of purchasing a special plastic bin to store their recyclable plastics. The recycling program of some fast food restaurants offer a free plastic cup when customers bring their used cups to their store. Thus, if everyone used these various plastic recycling programs, the amount of plastic waste being dumped in landfills and the amount of landfill space available would be drastically reduced.
